One set of books, one number

Job costing software
that matches your books.

FullScope Pro posts materials, subcontractors, card spend and clocked labor to the general ledger against each job. The profit you see on a job is the same profit on your P&L — because it comes from the same place.

  • Costs read from the general ledger
  • Per-job P&L and WIP
  • Labor from approved hours

Ask most contractors what a job made and you get one of two answers: a guess, or a spreadsheet that took somebody a week to build. The trouble is rarely effort. It is that the costs live in four places — receipts in one app, subcontractor payments in another, card spend in a third, and labor in the time clock — and adding them up never quite matches what the accountant says.

FullScope Pro takes a stricter approach: job cost comes from the general ledger, and only the ledger. Every cost that belongs to a job is posted to the books with the job attached. The job report reads those lines. There is no second path, so there is no second number.

What gets costed to a job

  • Materials and receipts logged against the job.
  • Subcontractor payments tied to the job they paid for.
  • Reimbursements for expenses a team member paid out of pocket.
  • Ramp card transactions reconciled and assigned to the job.
  • Labor from approved, job-coded hours in the GPS time clock.

Reports

See every job's real margin.

  • Per-job P&L

Revenue and cost for each job, straight from the ledger, so margin is a fact, not an estimate.

  • Work in progress

WIP reporting across open jobs, so you can see what is earned, billed and still to come.

  • Quote vs. actual

Compare what you quoted with what the job cost, and price the next one better.

  • Labor applied

Approved hours move labor cost onto the job without double-counting wages your payroll provider already reports.

How labor is costed without double-counting

Wages become an expense when payroll runs, and payroll belongs to your payroll provider. So when hours are approved in the time clock, FullScope Pro moves labor cost onto the job with an offsetting entry, rather than adding a second wage expense. The job carries its true labor cost, and your P&L does not count the same wages twice. The same approved hours feed payroll reporting for ADP.

Part of the Accounting add-on

Per-job P&L and WIP reports are part of the Accounting & Bookkeeping add-on — the built-in double-entry ledger with banking, reconciliation, receivables, period close and financial reporting. The add-on is available on any plan for $250 a month. Jobs, change orders and expenses on the job are part of every plan; the add-on is what turns them into books.

Why one source matters

When job profit is calculated in a separate tool, it drifts from the books every time a receipt is miscoded or a payment is entered twice. Then nobody trusts either number. Reading job cost from the same ledger your P&L comes from means a correction in one place fixes both. It also means your bookkeeper and your project managers are finally arguing about the same number.

Who sees the numbers

Job margin is as sensitive as the company P&L. Access to financial reports is its own permission, granted person by person, so a project manager can run a job without seeing company-wide profit unless you decide they should.

Questions

Common questions

Is job costing included in every plan?

Jobs and job expenses are in every plan. The per-job P&L and WIP reports are part of the Accounting & Bookkeeping add-on, which is $250 a month on any plan.

Do I still need a separate accounting system?

The accounting add-on is a full double-entry ledger with banking, reconciliation, receivables, period close and financial reporting. It is built to be your books, not a copy of them; walk us through your current setup on a demo and we'll show you how it fits.

How does labor get onto a job?

Crews clock in with the GPS time clock and code their hours to a job. Once hours are approved, labor cost is applied to that job in the ledger.

Can card spend be assigned to jobs?

Yes. Connect your Ramp account and card transactions can be reconciled and assigned to the job they were for.

Does FullScope Pro run payroll?

No. Payroll stays with your payroll provider. FullScope Pro produces payroll reporting from approved hours, ready for ADP.
